Luvivi Governance Services Director, Sibani Mngomezulu, stated that there should be an effective link between organisational culture and a high-performing board.
Using case studies to highlight the disconnection between the two, which has led to companies failing, Mngomezulu also engaged the audience on how boards shape organisational culture. He provided metrics that can be used to gauge the culture of an organisation, as well as the impacts of poor organisational culture and the benefits of a positive one.
Mngomezulu was speaking at the ongoing 3rd Annual Wise Leadership Governance Conference. The conference was organised by Wise Leadership, a citizen-owned corporate governance and leadership consultancy. Wise Leadership has maintained the event as a premium forum for advancing best practices in governance.
This year, the conference is convened under the theme “Harnessing Organisational Culture for Ethical Governance and Cyber Resilience.”
Business leaders have gathered at Cresta Lodge, Gaborone, where Wise Leadership has stated that they are engaging in insightful discussions, expert insights, and valuable networking opportunities.
