Mowaneng departs Letlole La Rona
  • Tsaone Segaetsho

The Board of Letlole La Rona on Monday announced the immediate departure of Chief Executive Officer, Kamogelo Mowaneng, effective 03 November 2025.

Mowaneng joined the company in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer before ascending to the CEO position in 2022, a tenure that has now come to an abrupt and premature end.

In a statement issued this week, the Board confirmed that Chief Financial Officer, Rorisang Modikana, has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect to ensure business continuity. The Board described Modikana as “a seasoned executive with over 20 years of financial leadership experience across the financial services sector, boasting a strong record in financial strategy, risk management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.”

Board Chairperson, Khuto Balosang, expressed full confidence in the appointment, noting that, “her extensive finance and operational expertise, coupled with her proven ability to deliver results and lead multidisciplinary teams, positions her well to guide the company forward and maintain momentum as we continue to execute on our strategic priorities.”

When approached for comment on speculation that Mowaneng’s exit was a dismissal rather than a voluntary resignation, as suggested in the Botswana Stock Exchange filing, Modikana declined to confirm or deny the claims, citing an ongoing consultation with the Board regarding a forthcoming joint statement on the matter.
