MNCapital Group will host the 5th Annual Botswana Institutional Investors Forum 2026 in Kasane between 06 and 07 August, bringing together institutional investors, policymakers, regulators and corporate leaders to explore investment opportunities and financing strategies shaping Botswana and the wider region.
The forum has developed into a key platform for dialogue on institutional investment, providing stakeholders with an opportunity to assess emerging trends, challenges and opportunities across Botswana’s investment landscape.
MNCapital Group Chief Executive Officer Michael Ndinisa said this year’s forum will examine how institutional capital can be mobilised to support infrastructure development, innovation-led growth and regional economic integration, while strengthening portfolio performance and long-term sustainability.
“The Botswana Institutional Investors Forum has established itself as one of the country’s premier platforms for investment dialogue and stakeholder engagement. Over the years, the forum has brought together institutional investors, regulators, policymakers and investment professionals to discuss emerging opportunities and challenges within Botswana’s investment landscape,” Ndinisa said.
The 2026 edition will place particular emphasis on macroeconomic developments, evolving investment trends, regulatory developments and innovative financing models across Botswana, Southern Africa and the broader continent.
According to Ndinisa, the discussions come as institutional investors increasingly assess opportunities capable of delivering sustainable long-term returns while contributing to economic development.
“Participants will gain valuable insights into macroeconomic developments, investment trends, regulatory developments and innovative financing models shaping Botswana, Southern Africa and the broader African continent,” he said.
The forum is expected to attract stakeholders from across the investment ecosystem, including pension and retirement funds, investment managers, policymakers, regulators, corporate executives, Development Finance Institutions and Multilateral Development Banks.
Participants will also explore opportunities across infrastructure, energy, private markets, digital infrastructure and regional development projects, while engaging market leaders on the future direction of institutional investing.
Beyond the formal discussions, the Kasane gathering will provide a platform for networking and potential partnerships between institutional investors and organisations seeking capital for projects across the region.
The fifth edition builds on the forum’s growing role as a meeting point between capital, policy and investment opportunities, with discussions expected to highlight how Botswana can leverage institutional finance to support its development priorities and deepen its position within Southern Africa’s investment landscape.
